Today is Nick's Birthday.  We plan to take him to lunch. I'll take pictures and share with you this afternoon.  We have to have him back in time to produce Lance's Show.  Make sure if you catch him on the chat, call in to Lance's Show, or just visit his page, wish him a Happy Day!  Until I have lunch pictures, I'll once again share with you a picture of Mo, Nick eating pancakes!

Information from the Reds today:

Ken Griffey Jr. and Dusty Baker will be wearing uniform #42 tonight as part of major League Baseball's celebration of Jackie Robinson's debut in 1947.  Griffey asked permission last year to do this and Commissioner Selig granted his wish then extended the invitation to anyone else in the league to wear the #42.  The jerseys were auctioned off last year on mlb.com and raised $210,000 for the Jackie Robinson Foundation.

Sometimes it feels like I spend more time in meetings and wonder how I get anything done.  I meet with the 1530Homer sales staff every Tuesday to see what they are up to and help with ideas of contests and events on our station for you.  I also meet every Tuesday with the Clear Channel Promotion Staff from all of the Cincinnati Clear Channel Stations to see if anybody needs brainstorming ideas, help at their events, how cool our intern staff is, and where people need help with promotions of the individual stations.  A big topic today will be the NFL Draft day on April 26.  You will probalby meet many of our interns that day.

The next meeting of the morning, after my CC Promotions meeting, is a brainstorming meeting on possible promotions for UC Football.  Mo has already given me a list of his ideas since he's conveniently on the air during this meeting.  Do you have any ideas?  Feel free to send me ideas on what you think The Sports Animal should do with UC Football.  I can't promise we can do your idea, but if we do, I promise a prize to you as a "Thank You" for helping us out.  After all, everything we do is for YOU!

The Sun has come out today.  Let's hope the Shine returns to the Reds as Harang takes the mound today in Chicago.  How will Chi-town greet Dusty?  Will the Reds give them more to boo about?  As Mo says, I hope the team rallys around Dusty in his old stomping grounds. 

It's April and feels like November.  The Reds were awful in Pittsburg.  I did my taxes....while I tried to watch the Reds play yesterday.  Could the weekend have gotten any colder?!?  My friend Destiny went to Pittsburg.  As you can imagine, she didn't have a good time.  I don't think she'll be going back to that city.  Too many bad memories.
