OK. Now I've heard everything. I think I'll call off next week because I was hurt by a pillow. From yahoo sports:
"...we had never heard of a pillow-lifting injury in baseball - that is, until Detroit Tigers' everyman Brandon Inge reported an overstuffed owie on Wednesday, earning a feather-paved (and probably overdue) path to the injury list."
Check this out! The amazing Ball Girl Catch....I think there are some players who will remain nameless here...but you know who you are...can learn from this!
The Sports Animal continued the Festival tradition at "Angelsfest" at Guardian Angel in Mt Washington without our fearless leader, Mo on Friday. Fun times were had by all who were there, despite the threatening weather. One thing I learned, you can make $10 go a long way at the Black Jack tables. I had to spot Destiny some chips when she lost all of hers pretty quickly. That's OK, she can make it up to me at the next Festival Stop. Without Mo there to keep us in line, Mark took over the microphone at the Festival. Festivals go on rain or shine and we learned even overcast days can't put gloom on the fun to be had.
I was lucky enough to hang out with Mario Andretti, Seg and Bobby Schmidt on Thursday at Donovan Tire. We were celebrating Donovan Tire's 50 Years with 700WLW. Seg is almost as popular as the legend himself! One thing I can say is Mario Andretti is one classy guy. He was very nice and patient with the long line of people who wanted their picture taken with him and who wanted autographs. Happy Aniversary Donovan Tires!
It may have been Friday the 13th, but the Reds finally beat the Cardinals this week! The AM Producers had an outing, thanks to the kindness of the Reds and the Producers were kind enough to invite us in Promotions. Good times were had by all! You will find Paul Mason often in the stands selling beer, but he was our fearless leader last night and he showed our section his beer call...after being promised a beer to do it...twice! Brandon Phillips hit a triple to seal the deal, Jay Bruce came in the game in the end, we had a great view of Junior from our section....although he was pretty quiet last night. The beer flowed freely and so did the laughs. I think we're lucky to be working with such funny, cool people. My only issue....why, oh why did you wear green last night, Mark?!?
