Randall had a great time at the St. Bernard festival, did you? If you weren't there you missed fun with pickles, gambling, drinking, and a few unmentionalbes! You know it's a real festival when you can eat a giant pickle and win a live goldfish at the same time! Unfortunately, there was poker, but no blackjack. This means that my game with Mo will have to be postponed. It won't be next week, because Mo is wimping out on his own festival tour...I guess it will be the second Mo-less Mo Egger tour stop, this time at the Panegyri next week. Oh well, more baklava for me! That reminds me, if you show up to the Panegyri at Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church on Winton Rd. next Friday wearing your Official Homer Thank God For Beer Mo Egger Church Festival Tour Shirt and you're the first one there to do so, you get a baklava on me. -- Longest sentence ever. That's big time considering I work in radio for about $5 an hour. We'll be there around 7pm. Look for us, we'll be looking for you...

It's been a while, so here's a random insight into my life... Beyond the profile to the left there. Tonight for dinner I had eel and fish eggs among other Japanese favorites. Roe I can handle, the eel, not so much. The cool thing about eating places like authentic Japanese sushi bars is that you feel cultured after you leave. You think, "Wow, that was some amazing raw fish... Right now I'm slightly better than most people..." That's bad. Most people probably don't actually think that, but I do.
I got into a discussion with a friend at work today about holes. Why is it that if there is a hole in the ground say at a construction site, in the back yard, or on the sidewalk, men are drawn to it. Not only do they feel the need to go look in the hole, they like to stand there at the edge and converse with other men about the hole. I noticed this phenomenon just the other day driving home. There was a hole. There were men around it. They were standing with hands on hips nodding in agreement about something to do with the hole. I'm just glad one was pretty decent eye candy as I was stopped at the light...
How much would you have paid to see your teacher do this in grade school? Kids these days have it good...
Jr. hit number 600 in Florida tonight. Happy, yes. Disappointed he didn't do it here, yes. One game away from the Joe Nuxhall tribute night at home and he couldn't wait any longer... Plus, there's already drama surrounding the home run ball... Oh well, he did it, and that's the most important thing. Yay Jr.!

Over the weekend I noticed a disturbing trend. Lots of big people in small clothing. Yes it's hot. Yes it's humid. This does not give everyone free range to wear small jean shorts. Very few people should wear bathing suits to begin with. Please, if you're not at a beach or a pool, there is no need to wear your bathing suit while walking down the street, a street without a beach or a swimming pool. This also goes for very pregnant women. Bathing suit tops with jean shorts is not a good look for pregnant women. Maybe I'm being too harsh... No. I'm not.
US Bank Arena was the place to be tonight as the Cyclones took on the Wranglers. Final score, 3-1 Cyclones, oh yeah... There were almost 13,000 people there and every single one of them were pumped for the game. I've never been to a sporting event so full of energy. With more fans there than a Reds game, I'm not used to fand really getting in to the game. They were doing cheers I've never heard of, but by the end of the game you couldn't help but pretend to cheer along even though you don't know the words. A Cyclones game is the best experience that no one knows about. Hopefully this win will gain the Cyclones some well deserved respect! Yeah, that's her on the right. Her name is Marie-Anne Thiebaud and she was Shania and Mutt's "house manager"... What ever that means... I think it's a glorified term for "maid" or something... Anyway... Take a good look at Shania and Marie-Anne. For the life of me I will never figure out why men cheat on their beautiful wives or girlfriends with ugly women. If you understand this please shoot me a message or an email. I don't get it, can't wrap my brain around it. That would be like me cheating on Joey Votto with Ugly Sales Dude that sits down the hall. Dumb decision Mutt, dumb.

On a happier note, the Cyclones are in town this week to win the Kelly Cup at US Bank Arena! I can't wait, because I'm going to the game on Thursday. This will be the fourth hockey game I've been to in my entire life. I don't know much about the details of the game, but what I do know is that those guys love to fight for no reason. That's reason enough for me to go to the game. You should too, how often do we get to see championship sports teams here in Cincy?

PS Thanks to everyone who sent me messages of encouragement during a particularly difficult time in my life. When I discovered there was another Sports Kitten from Florida I felt like the territory that I had peed on had been invaded by, as a listener so creatively put it, "Skeletor with Fake Boobs." I can't thank you enough for telling me over and over again how ugly she is. There's nothing a woman likes to hear more from a man than how ugly he thinks the competition is... It brings a tear to my eye...
