Rich Franklin is a God among MEN

I had the opportunity to have rich as a teacher at oak hills high school my sophomore year back in 2000.  He truly is the amazing man he comes off to be, and a hell a fighter.  He was very dedicated to all of us students, always making himself available.  I'm not sure if he remembers me or not, becuse i wasnt the best student, and i was kind of quiet, but he definelty had an impact on my life.  I remember watching fights or after school sometimes... great times.

As for his UFC career, it has been great watching him fight.  i havent missed one since the shamrock fight.  I truly believe that one of these days, he will defeat silva for the l185 title again... as far as im concerned, when this man puts his mind to something, he does it.   It was great to hear him on the show today, and it was great to see that impressive win on saturday night vs. Lutter.  I especially loved the way he called him out on being un-commited and un-prepared for the fight, especially after lutter accused him of faking an injury.

Rich is a class act, and i will continue to be a fan, always.  Best of luck on regaining your title, and keep up the great work!!  25-3 MMA is a pretty damn good record if you ask me...

i'm off to my 4th reds game in 5 days. should i be worried? haha could not be any worse than last night i suppose....

why doesnt dusty baker give hopper a shot in center? does he have something against him?  how many starts does he have this year.... and isnt he 28 straight at bats without a strikeout?  i like the harriston move... but at least give the guy a chance to do something other than pinch hit!!

oh well... we'll see.  i'll comment after the game.

ouch.... that was painful to watch.  alwyas tomorrow i suppose.  i'll be there once again, rooting for my red-legs...

on a side note, griffey's first at bat, a pitch he fouled off landed one row in front of me (section 418 row b) where i should have been sitting, had someone not been in my ticketed seat... and every time i looked to my left i noticed c-trent blogging away in a press box!  that guy doesnt get enough credit for the job he does.  always enjoy reading your game recaps!

    see ya at the ballpark.

    My Redlegs

    Hey Everyone,

Glad to be a part of Lot D. Long time listener of Mo as well as Lance, but i just recently got around to making one of these finally. haha

Anyway, i have a gerat life. Not exactly a season ticket holder, but so far i have been to 7 of 10 reds home games, as well as plans to go this evening and on thursday. God bless baseball season, i wait all year for april to roll around. Sure i love the bengals, and I've always been a cyclones fan (finally drawing again) but baseball is my true passion!

I realize we are off to a rocky start, however i have gained faith in this team.  Fielding errors happn, sure edwin has had a few errors... but he always redeems himself.  In two games i've been to, fans boo after he commits fielding mistakes that appear to cost us the game, and then cheer as loud as possible when he hits a game winning homer, or starts a rally in extra innings.  Benedict Arnolds if you ask me.

there is one thing i will never do, and that is boo a home team.  i dont care if it was a mistake. are you perfect? playing in front of 30,000 a day, without making ANY MISTAKES? It happens. give a guy a break he is young (only his second season).

Sure you can shrug, and get a little upset, maybe a sigh... but PLEASE DO NOT BOO your home team players, and then turn around and cheer when they do something good, it shows a terrible side of cincinnati fans, that i hate to see.

As for Dusty Baker, well, i was skepitical to say the least, but i think he is coming around.  The one thing i do not understand, is why doesh e keep pulling out Joey Votto (the one making great contact, in many plate appearences) for Scott Hatterberg in the 6yth or 7th inning?

Friday night, He pulled votto (who had 5 rbi's on thursday) for Hatteberg, we get men on, start a rally, and Hatteberg ends the inning with an out.  Not saying Votto would have came through, but he has been pretty clutch so far this year.  any thoughts?

Guess thats all for now.  i'll be at the game tonight, supposed to be a great night for it!
