    CONGRATS JUNIOR

Tuesday, September 30, 2008, 11:06 PM EST [General]

Just got done watching the Whitesox beat the Twins in a game that I felt was NEVER going to end.  1-0 from the Jim Thome HR that in my mind I was wishing that it was JR.

Well, now I have to decide to be a fan of the RAYS- a team that I've been 'chearing for since their inception' or for Ken Griffey Jr. a player that I've been cheering for since AGE 9.  Over the course of the last 19 years, I've watched JR. play- and I got the wonderful opportunity to watch him play here in Cincinnati- and then trade happened- and I watched as Junior returned to the American League- to a city that is close enough to visit but too far away to make a quick run to a game and drive back home the same day (mainly because of the cost of gas)

I would love to see Jr. get a run at a RING---> since he hasn't been to the playoffs since 1997.

I'm going to be watching the Baseball Playoffs this year- wondering again when the next time the Redlegs will be there... as the weather gets cooler, I enjoy baseball more and more.

So do I. I thought it was a great game lastnight. Felt like it went pretty quick to me. That usually happens when no one hits for either team.

Seeing as how Junior was such a large part of the problem in Cincinnati I can not root for him or his new team. It almost seems unfair for him to turn in a minor league performace while dragging down te Reds, and then he is catapulted into the playoffs on dumb luck. I will say that out of he or Dunn, Griffey deserves it more, but that is not saying a lot.
