Hello all-

As some of you know, on top of being a BIG sports fan, I'm a gaming enthusiast.  I came across something that is a total blast while surfing the web yesterday.

Madden 09 - which I play on the PS3 was NOT released for the PC- so a number of 'modders' have put together their own version of the game at www.football-freaks.com  Now, here is the trick, you have to buy Madden08 for the PC.  (don't freak out yet saying that isn't a deal because you haven't heard the price yet)   I picked up my copy of MADDEN 08 for the PC for $9.99 at the Northgate Mall gamestop.

Now, I know a couple of you are going to say- what about NCAA footbal on the PC?  This is where I got excited :-D  The answer is, YES it's out there, but NO you can't buy it :) There have been a series of MODS created to make your MADDEN NFL 08 game into an NCAA game featuring 32 teams.  (The Bearcats are on at least one of the mods) 

While modding seems like it would be difficult the community is VERY TIGHT and will walk you through step by step-  and CTRENT, the GEORGIA BULLDOGS have alternate unis in the MOD that I use :)

I didn't know how many of you would be intersted but, I thought that I would throw it out there for those of you that may have a nice laptop or PC but don't have a next gen console.  I have also enjoyed a MOD out there called FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS which was written by a guy in the Cincinnati area ;) he's done some COOL HS football work :)
