I am not a big olympics guy but, I saw this story on CNN this morning while I was watching the news and I had to post this story here.  Here is the original link but the whole story is below as well just to make it easier for everyone.  THIS IS NOT MY WORK!  JUST A STORY WORTH A READ- I'll comment more about this later.  Once I get a little more information about it.

Iraq suspended from Olympics

Iraq has been banned from participating in next month's Beijing Olympics because of the Iraqi government's decision to disband the country's national Olympic committee, a senior official said today.

"This morning we were informed of the final decision of the International Olympic Committee to suspend the membership of the Iraqi Olympic Committee," Hussein al-Amidi, the general secretary of the Iraqi committee, told Reuters.

Last month, the IOC provisionally suspended the Iraqi Olympic Committee "as a consequence of the ongoing political interference by the government within the sports movement in Iraq".

At the time of the suspension, the IOC said it would work to "find appropriate solutions" for the Iraqi Olympic movement, but added that "the situation created by the Iraqi government authorities makes the task very difficult".

Sport has not escaped the violence that has blighted the country since the 2003 US-led invasion.

In May 2006, the national tennis coach was murdered. Two months later, Olympic officials were kidnapped. Then a member of the Olympic football team was seized outside his home, never to be seen again; and the country's cycling coach was killed.

But the country participated at the last Olympics, less than 18 months after the invasion. And in 2007, Iraq's football team scored an unlikely victory in the Asia cup, prompting joyous scenes across the country, as thousands spilled onto the streets despite a government ban.

I'm 20 episodes in to the first season... and I've been loving this show.

If you haven't taken the time to watch this show, head to your local video store or library to get yourself a copy of the first disk and watch it.... ＯＲ you could always watch them online...

While I watch them, the rest of the things going on in the world STOP... this is a great show.  We have been watching the first season on DVD for the last couple of weeks 2 to 3 episodes a week in order to get caught up by 9-22-08 for the new season :)

If you haven't watched it, take an hour out of your week this week and watch the first episode, I think you will LOVE IT!!!

Other websites calling what the Packers are doing to Farve by not giving him his release the OCHO CINCO TREATMENT

I'm not a huge Farve fan, mainly because I don't understand why he wants to continue to play... he's been jerking around the packers enough.  The organization needs to do what is best for the organization. Farve could be on the roster this year and be affective but, at what point do they put Rogers in and give him an honest chance with the first team offense?

I know that in the HEART of Bengal Country, there aren't that many people interested in this but, I wonder if this isn't just a little too rediculas for Farve to not just be able to 'hang them up'.    I'm sure after 17 seasons in the nfl he is just scared of life after football but, I am sure that some network would be glad to add him to their booth.

I've never been in his situation- so I don't know what it's like to be Brett Farve but, it seems to me that he should just be able to sit back, relax and retire while he can still get out of bed in the morning.  I'm not sure what kind of lifestyle he's been living or how he's been with his money but it seems that 95% of the time he's got his head on straight.... I wonder if he needs the $ or just loves the game.

First thing's first- DO NOT WASTE YOUR $

Seriously, this has to be one of the worst games ever released- Electronic Arts (EA Sports) should be embarrased to release this game. WIth as good as the PS3 and 360 versions of this game are- It's rediculas that EA thought they could release such a piece of garbage on the Wii.

NCAA FOOTBALL 09 ALL PLAY- might as well be NCAA FB DON'T PLAY!

The graphics are horrid. The Stadiums remind me of the stadiums in the gamecube versions of this game. The textures on both the players and the field are awfull. While it could be fun to play as the different Macots, the graphics are so DULL...and blah.

I've played 4 games now- One as the Bearcats, One as Ohio State and 2 as Notre Dame. I played through all of the games wondering if I was just being to harsh on the game play...Ｉdon't believe that I am.

Using the Wiimote in order to pass could be fun if I wasn't playing by myself. I'm not interested in any aspect of the single player mode on the wii at all. I might hold on to this title, to play it with 'friends and family' but I'm not sure if it's even worth keeping in the collection...... Please, if you have a wii, RENT THIS GAME- BEFORE you BUY IT!

Recently, I've been struggling to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing with my lilfe. I have had about 20 job interviews, I left school and moved back home to be closer to my son, and now I feel like I have NO CLUE what to do or where to turn.

Flipping through the TV channels today I heard- "I guess my life just doesn't make sense without you."and something in my mind clicked... That is exactly what my problem is but there isn't anything that I can do about it anymore.
