    Mon 7.14 randomness

Barry Bonds in St. Louis?  The fans in St. Louis are so full of themselves- so is OWNERSHIP!  I don't remember the cardinals ownership complaining as they were rolling in the dough from big Macs HR run.

I really hope their season gets back on track The RAYS fall out of first place a half game but still, it's out of first place.

The Reds fall to 4 games under .500, the question is will they be able to compete for the wild card?  Are the Reds buyers or sellers post all-star break?
    - I think that they are going to decide that it's Selling time- despite only being 7 games back of the WildCard which is possible with the number of games that they still have a lot of games left against teams ahead of them in the wildcard.

NCAA Football09 comes out at MIDNIGHT tonight.  Guess where I will be- in line at Gamestop. ;)  I'm getting it for the WII and Xbox360.  I heard that the Wii version is not graphicallly as good as the 360 or PS3 versions but, I'm getting the Wii one for the kid. ;) He's becoming a huge College football fan, but he keeps walking around the house saying GO BUCKS- (Jodi would like that) We are considering getting UC season FB tickets.

So, I have been spending way to much time playing Civilization Revolution on the PS3.  And Hot Shots Golf is a fun, cartoony twist on Golf.  I have been enjoying both of those games.

okay- so that does it for my randomess this morning. I'm off for the afternoon in order to get some things done around the house. (I have a lot to get done)

    Gaming...+

Friday, July 11, 2008, 11:57 AM EST [Gaming]

So, I haven't been posting on thelotd.com which there are mulitple reasons for but mostly it's because I have been battling what could be a blood clot in my brain, and a mass that formed on my right elbow that eventually came through the skin and caused my entire arm to swell up and look like I had a wicked Indian burn.

Even with these issues, 3 doctor's visits in less than 2 weeks, and one brief hospital stay, I've continued to watch some baseball...I played softball last week...I've been on daddy duty...and I've still got in my fair share of gaming. So I thought that I would post a little bit of what I've been playing as of late.

    XBOX-

My 360 hasn't been turned on since the fourth of July (at least by me). I believe that the little one decided that he wanted to play the arcade title BOOGIE BUNNIES, which you should all take time to at least play the demo of. It's a fairly addictive puzzle game that is cute and has a fun puzzle concept. It's very much like BUBBLE BOP with Dancing Bunnies. NCAA Football 09 comes out on MONDAY NIGHT err midnight Tuesday and I will be waiting in line for both copies of that game (wii n 360) that night.

    Wii-

OKAY I know i posted some info about Mario Kart a while ago...but it's still a great game and captures most of my time on the Wii. If you haven't played Mario Strikers Charged (Soccer) you have to play this game...it is soooooooooo fun! But in 2 weeks the new MLB Powerpros comes out so I'm aniticipating renting that one and checking it out. (I know Lance is considering picking it up for Casey too)

    PS3-

The majority of my gaming time has been taken up on the PS3 lately. I picked up All-Pro Football 2k8 for $10 used...and I am currently playing HOT SHOTS GOLF out of bounds - and after lunch today (Larosas), I'm going to get at least 2 rounds of golf in this afternoon and then I'll put up a little REVIEW of that game. *

    Playing Baseball...

Thursday, May 22, 2008, 01:21 AM EST [General]

Okay, I'm desperate...  I just thought that I would throw this out there...

I'm 28, and I'm a little out of shape, but I'm working out daily trying to get back into 'playing shape' before next baseball season comes around...and I'm looking for a BASEBALL TEAM to play for next season.

Is there an AMATEUR BASEBALL team/league in the area? I've been playing softball the last couple seasons and I can't stand it!  I love the team that I've been playing with, it's CO-ED and everyone plays hard but it's NOT BASEBALL.

Anyone out there have any ideas???  Any adult-amateur baseball leages in the area?

    THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Mario Kart Wii Hint: Avoiding POWs

Getting attacked with a POW can be a bummer, but if you flick upward your steering wheel or Wii remote, you can avoid it. You will spin around, and you will lose your currently-equipped item, but you won't slow down and will avoid the devastating result of being struck with a POW.
