Well I am sure those of us who publicly have disavowed this franchise are not happy. I was hoping for 0-16. I secretly wished for Mike Brown to sell this team under an uproaring and abysmal tenure of rutterless leading. I am confused today. I am so happy for the team, I mean nobody wants to see the good guys on this team to continually get spanked.I feel for all involved . BUT, just like last year winning at the end of the year is not good for the team. I HATE to admit it, but it looks like Chad was right. This team needs help. I don't mean to rain on anyone's sunny day, but we can't lose focus on the real problem here. I will admit that this franchise has been unlucky with injuries and the draft. Today we seen what good draftees can do for you. I mean P. Sims , And J. joseph were all stars today along with solid performances by R. Geathers and C. ndukwe. Enough of the negative, I hope the Bengals front office reads this( one can dream right). 1 When we draft take the highest quality athlete with an impressive level of character and an injury free career.2. Realize we are gonna have to overpay for free agents for a couple years to erase the negative impact of our past "cheap" reputation. 3. Hire more scouts to not only preview the draft, but upcoming opponents.
4. AND LASTLY! BRING IN A COACHING STAFF LIKE OUR NEW D. COORDINATOR. someone who is not quiet and passive who leaves it to the team to do the right things on and off the field. We need drastic change here in this city . As fans we have done our part, We go to games and try to hold these guys accountable, we buy their apparel and fight this tyranny of ownership. BUT AS FOR TODAY i AM PROUD TO LIVE IN CINCINNATI AND NOT CLEVELAND! R. FIZPATRICK FOREVER....AKILI SMITH NEVER.....
I do not care if the Bengals were close to winning . I did not win my game with the cowboys today. So really whats the difference. This team is gonna reflect their ownership and coaches. And today they tried to change that with raw talent and emotion but they just can't go into these sunday battles w/o less ammuntion than their opponent. I don't just mean quality players that aren't signed or pursued or drafted . I mean poor evaluation of a players strengths and how to prepare for an opponent. I am seriously sick of this cycle we have fallen into as fans.

Really what's next. I don't care if C .Benson was found innocent or whtever. I just think there has to be other people we could've picked up. How can this franchise think that they are doing the right things. I mean it almost seems like they are doing the opposite of what would be good for this franchise. Here is how I believe the conversation goes. Katy says " Dad who else could we get to make ourselves look like we don't have a clue of what we are doing". Mike says" gee katy Maybe that guy who got drunk and disorderly on his boat and got himself cut from chicago" Katy replied Good idea Dad, now lets get to work on bilking some more money out of our gullable season ticket holders who think we are fielding a profesional football team". As ludicrous as this sounds the fact that this conversation might as well have taken place. What the He(( is going on? Why can't they see how much they are screwing up this franchise. DENIAL FOLKS, THATS WHAT WE ARE DEALING WITH!

I am just curious, does anyone else feel like we as fans must be partly to blame for the clearly abysmal pro teams we have had since the early nineties. I mean should we take some of the blame? I guess what I am asking is " are we enabling these owners". I don't know , but just the fact we may be asking this question means more than the answer itself. Let me know what you think.
