    Leon Hall

OK - I am sincerely wanting to scream... "It's a great day to be a Bangals fan!"  I got the day off, friends coming over and cold beer on ice.  The wife is making 'who dey chili' and it is shaping up to be a great day.  The way I see it now, unless we get another wind storm, nothing can ruin this day except... BRAYLON EDWARDS!  With JJ out, Leon Hall MUST play well today and keep Edwards from having a breakout game.  We all know Edwards will have his breakout game, just as we all know The Ocho will have his breakout game.  They are just too good of WR's to lie dormant all year.  If Leon can contain Edwards similar to the way he was able to contain Plax than it will be a great day to be a Bengal's fan!!

    Go Leon - WHO DEY!!!

    Pittsburgh Steelers

Monday, July 28, 2008, 10:42 AM EST [General]

Did you guys/gals hear about Casey Hampton?  HILARIOUS!!!

For those who have not heard and/or do not know who Casey Hampton is I shall elaborate.

Casey Hampton is Pittsburg's enormous nose tackle.  He is a very experienced veteran and a has made the pro bowl 3 or more times.

Mike Tomlin has put him on the PUP list "Physically unable to perform" for being too Fat and not being able to complete a running drill.

The good news - Casey is a team leader and perennial pro bowler.  He is now pissed at the Steelers and will cause friction.

The bad news - Tomlion is one heck of a football coach and I respect the hell out of what he did to Hampton.  Maybe some other NFL coaches could learn a lesson from the young and seemingly talented Tomlin?  Not to mention any specific names...

Tracy Jones. Love him or hate him?

Sunday, July 20, 2008, 11:18 AM EST [General]

I love Tracy Jones!  Dude is so right on about almost everything.  Sure he is arrogant, but he is never condescending or unjust.  I was worried when Burbank retired because I didn't know if the ride home from work would be the same, but Tracy and Eddie have exceeded all expectations.  I remember when Tracy was on extra innings and refused to talk baseball.  He would just have chicks call in and try and determine weather or not they were hot over the phone.  GOLDEN!  Anyone who's favorite word is slumpbuster is almost always entertaining.

This blog was inspired by a conversation I had at work.  Some of my associates think the Tracer is an arrogant, pompous, self-centered prick.  I was the only one standing up for the Tracer.  Am I alone?  Am I the only one who likes Tracy Jones?

It could be another shootout. I def think it will be close. The Bengals play to the level of their competition usually.

We both know why noone else is willing to touch him. Same reason the Bengals shouldnt.. but again, so hard to walk away from that talent when we really do need it. Just imagine Slim on the field with Perry, Chad adn Utech (in certain packages). I know you didnt just imply that Randy Moss isnt/hasnt always been a thug

No question I was so excited about Odell coming back this year. No longer even part of the conversation tho. I think you are undervalueing Henry on this team. Its been made clear we have no #3 reciever, which in reality is the #2 reciever on the field with TJ in his customary slot postition. I hate the whole thug mentality...but again...how many recievers have you ever seen with that crazy ability?? Plus, he's not exactly Pacman being rebelion and making it rain in the script club while his boy cripples bouncers....

Thanks for the nice comments! I'm always open to improving the blog so you guys get the best use out of them!

As for the LT situation...I'd absolutely hold on to him. Portis is injury prone and is a question mark...especially compared to LT. Since you have the first overall pick and could select McFadden anyway...I'd keep LT, pick up McFadden...and sail to a championship.

As long as you can grab a tier 1 or 2 QB in the next round, you'll be in amazing shape!

    Good luck!
