He said he is pleased with the coaches' effort and teaching. He also echoed Marvin's statement that the fans won't be subject to a season this bad next year. I would certainly hope not. It can't get much worse.
He also said there are no plans to hire a general manager.
I won't even attempt to analyze the rest of the quotes. It is a complete joke. I cannot put into words the frustration that builds deep inside when discussing this football team. There is/was/could be talent on the team. However, it is being thrown away by this man who calls himself an NFL owner.
He owns the team, but obviously has no desire to see it succeed. He does not care. Paul Brown knew football. Mike does not. Mike has all but destroyed the franchise his father built.
There are a lot of people who still love the franchise...grandparents, parents and children who still watch and cheer every Sunday. Mike Brown is spitting in the face of those people.
Fans are easy to please. Nobody complains about anything else. Ticket prices are comparable to other NFL cities. Paul Brown Stadium is a top-notch facility. We just want to win.
What is it like to live in Columbus? Realistic and rational Buckeye fans have to listen to crazy people complain about how Jim Tressel handled the quarterback situation. Do these people know how many teams would kill to be in Ohio State's position? Todd Boeckman is good. Terrelle Pryor is better. Get over it.
They are a dynamic duo, but sooner or later Greg Oden is going to have to grow up and be able to play hard on his own. Mike Conley shouldn't have to be there to get him going.

It sucks being at work the day before Thanksgiving, knowing that the rest of my band is at home. However, I am sick, and I would rather infect my co-workers than my family. So there.
Did you see what happened at Madison Square Garden last night? The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the New York Knicks 119-101. LeBron James was cheered by the New York crowd. Not just because they respect his ability to play the game, but because they are trying to lure him to their team when he becomes a free agent in 2010. Am I mistaken, but aren't the Knicks horrible? Weren't the Cavaliers in the NBA Finals a couple of years ago? Oh wait, $$$$$.
I have a son and a daughter, and want the best for both, but I would not do this. What happens when there is a collision at the plate? What happens if she takes a fastball from some pitching prospect right in the chops?
That scenario with the AFC and NFC championship game being in the meadowlands is a distinct possibility...you are dead on with that assessment, I had not thought about that. I believe that would be the only time such a thing would happen, a trivia type game for sure.
Funny stuff from Pete by the way, but who the hell is Erardi to talk about the Machine of Red Bigness? Let him go dig up the 27 Yankees for the new Yankee stadium and dub it "The Home of the Grave..." (that didn't come off as funny as it did in my head, pardon me).
That's what scares me. You know it would absolutely be their "bowl game" and make their season if they could pull the upset! There are no gimme's in a rivalry like this.
