He won't win the ROY award, but Joey Votto has had a very good year. He is solid definsively, packs some power and hits in the clutch. To me, he is an untouchable. I put him in the same category as Cueto, Volquez and Bruce. DO NOT TRADE HIM!
On Wednesday, Hal McCoy wrote that Dusty Baker was mightily disturbed after the game over a missed sign and wild pick-off throw. Baker said, "Mistakes man. We just have to quit making mistakes." What do you think Lou Piniella would have said? What reaction would Pete Rose have had?
Homer Bailey was lights-out for Louisville, striking out eight and walking one over six shutout innings. He needs to be in Cincinnati next year.
Would Anderson give intel to the enemy? I would.
Did you know? I do now thanks to Cincy Jungle. This Sunday would have been Paul Brown's 100th birthday.
My thoughts for Sunday: The Bengals have won six of the last seven games against Baltimore. The Ravens have a first-year head coach and first-year quarterback. The Bengals will finally have Carson, T.J. and Chad on the field together. Hopefully, Chris Perry will be playing with the same fire he did in the preseason game against Detroit. My prediction is Bengals 24, Ravens 13.
Ohio State goes for win number 800 on Saturday. A victory would put the all-time record at 800-304-53. The Buckeyes last played Ohio University in 1999, winning 40-16.
Frank Solich says, "It's not like their going to abandon the running game." That is because of Maurice Wells, Brandon Saine and Dan Herron. All three should be more than enough to handle Ohio University.
Former Red Johnny Edwards, among others, will be inducted into the Ohio State Hall of Fame on Saturday.
Oh yeah, Buckeyes roll 47-0.

Whodey! I think the Bengals D will step it up. Odom back and we get to finally get to see what Zimmer wants to do.
