As I was watching the Reds game yesterday I noticed the positive impact that the manager had on a game. Dusty called a smart game yesterday manufacturing three runs in that game, one of which was a game winner. Taking nothing away from Paul Bako, the hero of the game yesterday, Dusty's managing won that game. There were plenty of naysayers about Dusty when he was hired, but from what I've seen thus far this season, he's having a positive impact. Maybe I'm just being optimistic and seeing something that's not there, but after Narron, Miley and Boone, it's nice to see smart pinch hitting, smart pinch running and a nice job of managing a pitching staff. So, I say that Dusty will have a positive impact on the team, what say you?
